Splashdown Play Order

Splashdown in order, from the 2001 Sea-Doo debut through Rides Gone Wild in 2003. Water tricks carry over run by run, so release order is the play order with the wet pair closed and both worth replaying.

About Splashdown

Splashdown from November 2001 brings Sea-Doo water racing to PS2 with real world tracks and trick boosts, built by Rainbow Studios. Strong reviews praised the water feel. An Xbox port followed in 2002.

Splashdown Rides Gone Wild from August 2003 trades real seas for theme park tracks that shift each lap, on PS2 with THQ publishing. A planned Xbox port was cancelled. No third game followed. Play the 2001 original first, since the sequel assumes the trick system. Metacritic scored the original 84 on PS2.

Good to know

Release order is the skills order, with tricks carrying over. Start with the 2001 original for real seas. Rides Gone Wild changes lap layouts, so expect less memorizing. Both run two player splitscreen. The cancelled Xbox port stays out of the list. Freestyle tricks charge boosts, so learn them early for wins.
