About Supreme Commander
Supreme Commander is a Gas Powered Games RTS about huge maps and thousand unit armies. The 2007 original sets the UEF, Cybran and Aeon war with three campaigns. Forged Alliance adds the Seraphim and fixes the pacing as a standalone expansion with new units.
Supreme Commander 2 from 2010 shrinks maps and speeds play for consoles and PC. Fans still debate scale against speed, so release order lets you feel the shift. The community patch Forged Alliance Forever keeps the middle entry alive with balance and servers.
Good to know
Play the original, then Forged Alliance, then the sequel. Forged Alliance works without the first disc but its story assumes it. The sequel is a separate balance pass rather than a direct continuation, so treat it as an alternate take after the first two. Most veterans still rank the middle entry first.
