About The Talos Principle
The Talos Principle follows a robot solving garden puzzles under Elohim while the Milton assistant questions free will. The 2014 original plus the Road to Gehenna DLC from 2015 close the simulation arc across tetromino, laser and time trials.
The Talos Principle 2 from 2023 moves to New Jerusalem with a new machine society debating purpose, building directly on the first ending. Play the original with Gehenna first, then the sequel. No third game has been announced, so the run is complete as a two-game plus DLC arc with release matching story order.
Good to know
Release order matches story order, because Gehenna extends the simulation after the original ending and the sequel opens from that resolution. Milton threads and QR lore carry across all three. Gehenna plays as a DLC chapter rather than a separate game. Croteam has announced no third entry, so treat the original plus DLC plus sequel as the full list and play in release order.
