About Tamagotchi
Tamagotchi Corner Shop opened on DS in 2005 with Mametchi running stores across twelve shops. Corner Shop 2 followed in 2006 with music and sushi stages, then Corner Shop 3 in 2007 added a town map and more partner minigames. Party On! brought the jobs to Wii in 2006 with motion tasks.
Tamagotchi Plaza arrived on Switch in 2025 as the modern return with new shops and online rankings. The anime tells separate stories, so the games need no show viewing first. Release order teaches the tools since later shops assume faster hands.
Good to know
Play the three DS Corner Shop games in order before Plaza since later customers move faster. Party On fits between 2 and 3 for Wii variety nights with friends. The anime run stays separate and is not needed for any game ending at all. Plaza sits last as the 2025 release with no dated follow up yet in sight.
