About The Evil Within
The Evil Within from Tango launched October 14, 2014 on PS3 and PS4 about detective Sebastian in Beacon STEM with Ruvik. Assignment DLC arrived March 2015 and Consequence April 2015 following Kidman side, Executioner May 2015 as first person pack. The Evil Within 2 followed October 13, 2017 with Union town to save Lily.
Play base game then Kidman DLC then sequel for full STEM lore. The sequel moves to open zones with crafting three years later. No third game has been announced after Tango changes, so these two plus DLC are complete with M ratings.
Good to know
Release order is story order across STEM, so there is no alternate timeline to untangle. The first game runs 16 hours with letterbox chapters and trap focus. Kidman DLC runs 6 hours total and explains Beacon gaps. The sequel runs 14 hours adding stealth choice. Play on PS4 or PC for stable saves since PS3 loads slowly.
