About TimeSplitters
TimeSplitters began with Free Radical in 2000 about Cortez and Jo-Beth racing the TimeSplitters across centuries. TimeSplitters 2 (2002) expands the story missions with the 1990s crew, and Future Perfect (2005) closes the trilogy with Cortez looping his own past. The mapmaker and the arcade leagues run through every entry with the era-hopping structure.
Free Radical's fourth game died with the studio's troubles and Embracer's restructuring, leaving the trilogy as the complete run. No new TimeSplitters has been dated as of 2026, with the fan Rewind project the only continuation in sight.
Good to know
Play one through three in release order, since the crystal plot and the Cortez loop assume the run. Future Perfect works as the peak with its connected missions intact from start to finish. The challenge modes and the virus hunts fit after each campaign as extras with no story weight for the trilogy.
