About Turok
Turok began with Iguana's Dinosaur Hunter (1997) about Tal'Set guarding the Light Burden against the Campaigner. Seeds of Evil (1998) continues with Joshua Fireseed against Primagen, Shadow of Oblivion (2002) closes the N64 run, and Rage Wars (1999) stages the multiplayer arenas. The 2008 reboot from Propaganda follows Fermi's Whiskey Company against Mendel Grimes.
Nightdive's remasters of the N64 trilogy modernized the hunts with new episodes, becoming the versions to play. No new Turok has been dated as of 2026, leaving the reboot as the endpoint rather than a new run's start.
Good to know
Play the remasters of 1 through 3 in release order, since the Light Burden and the Fireseed line assume the run. Rage Wars works as a multiplayer extra after the sequel rather than a required chapter in the hunt. The 2008 reboot shares names only with a new squad, safe as its own hunt after the classics.
