About World Heroes

World Heroes from 1992 pulls eight history warriors with Hanzou Hattori, Kotaro Fuuma and Janne Darc into a Geegus time plot on Neo Geo under ADK and SNK. Fights use charge holds, throws and lane dodges.

World Heroes 2 from 1993 adds Erick and new bosses, Jet from 1994 speeds dashes and combos, and Perfect from 1995 closes with Zeus and refined counters. Play in release order because speed and dash options build. ADK closed the run in 1995 with no revival. Eight-way roster, death-match pits and high jumps define each tournament round.

Good to know

Release order is the only path for World Heroes because tournaments carry no story order and later games only add speed. Start with the 1992 original for time-pull basics and charge moves, then take sequels any time. Jet and Perfect refinements land best after the slower originals are known. Charge timing learned early carries forward.
