Beatles Films Watch Order

The five Beatles films in release order, from A Hard Days Night in 1964 and Help in 1965 through Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, and Let It Be in 1970. The band plays versions of itself throughout, so release order shows the change year by year.

About Beatles

The Beatles made five films while together. Richard Lester directed the first two, A Hard Days Night in July 1964 and Help in July 1965, both built around the band outrunning fans and cameras. Magical Mystery Tour followed on TV in December 1967, Yellow Submarine arrived as animation in July 1968, and Let It Be documented the end in May 1970.

None of the films share a plot, but release order still matters because the band visibly changes across them. Watch them in order and you see the shift from the 1964 suits to the 1970 rooftop.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order worth listing. Each film is a standalone project with the band playing itself, so release order and story order are the same list. The 2021 Get Back series and later documentaries sit outside this list as retrospective material rather than original Beatles films.
