About Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck debuted directing Gone Baby Gone in 2007 about a missing girl in Boston. The Town followed in 2010 robbing Fenway hoods, then Argo in 2012 faking a film to free hostages to Oscar gold. Air arrived in 2023 selling Nike on Jordan.
The films share Boston men and deals but the plots never link at all. Each runs earnest and talky on purpose. Release order shows his Good Will pen learning the camera without losing the street heat. The Fenway heists and hostage scripts carry every deal with street heat.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each deal resets its town. Gone first sets the Boston base for the run. Town and Argo pair as his heist peak to give full focus. Air closes as the shoe turn. No next feature has a date yet, so Air stays last until one lands. The Oscar gold confirms the town, so give Argo full attention.
