About The Best Man
The Best Man from 1999 follows Harper and Robyn through a wedding weekend that exposes old ties among college friends. The Best Man Holiday from 2013 reunites the group years later for Christmas with new losses, marriages and children in play.
The Best Man: The Final Chapters arrived December 2022 on Peacock as an 8 episode limited series closing the books on every couple. Creator Malcolm D. Lee says no further screen story exists, with only the Unfinished Business novel from July 2025 continuing on paper. No new film or season is announced.
Good to know
Watch the 1999 film, then Holiday, then Final Chapters in that order. The marriages, feuds and children only land in sequence across the 23 year span of stories. The novels continue after the screen run, but the shows end cleanly with the series finale. Skipping Holiday breaks the series setup badly for newcomers.
