About Cheaper by the Dozen
Cheaper by the Dozen began with the 1950 Clifton Webb film about the Gilbreth efficiency family, followed by Belles on Their Toes (1952). The 2003 reboot from Shawn Levy moved the Bakers with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, grossing near $200 million, with the 2005 sequel eloping the eldest. The 2022 Disney Plus version rebooted with Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union around a blended twelve-kid home.
Each version adapts the Gilbreth memoir premise fresh with new kids and no shared timeline, so the 1950, 2003 and 2022 runs all start clean. No new film has been announced beyond the reboot's streaming run.
