About Chidambaram
Chidambaram directs rooted Malayalam survival stories with newcomer energy. Jan.E.Man from 2021 opened as a birthday party comedy of errors, Manjummel Boys from February 2024 turned a Guna cave rescue into the industry's biggest hit, and Balan The Boy from June 2026 continued the based on truth survival line.
The three share real incident roots rather than characters, so any order works, though release order shows the scale growing from house party to cave to coast. No next feature is announced. The Balti film is often misattributed to him but belongs to Unni Sivalingam and stays out.
Good to know
Release order is the suggested path since the survival craft scales across the three. Manjummel Boys works as a first watch because the cave rescue shows his setpiece grammar fastest. Balti is not his film despite the confusion, with direction by Unni Sivalingam. No next Chidambaram feature is announced, so Balan stays last.
