About A Christmas Story
A Christmas Story follows Ralphie Parker's 1940 quest for a Red Ryder BB gun in 1983, ending with the infamous leg lamp and Christmas dinner. My Summer Story from 1994 continues the Parkers into summer 1941 with the same director.
A Christmas Story 2 from 2012 jumps to 1946 with a new cast but is ignored by later continuity. A Christmas Story Christmas from 2022 reunites the original Ralphie as an adult father in 1973, following the original and Summer Story. Watch in release order with the branch noted.
Good to know
The 2012 sequel and the 2022 sequel form alternate branches: the 2022 film follows the original plus Summer Story and ignores the 2012 entry. Release order still works since the 2012 film is skippable without loss. Older Parker TV movies from the 70s sit outside this film list. No new sequel is announced, so this four-film list is complete.
