About The Christmas Chronicles
The Christmas Chronicles (2018) follows siblings Kate and Teddy crashing Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve, opening November 22, 2018 on Netflix from Clay Kaytis. The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two (2020) jumps two years to a Cancun trip where Belsnickel threatens the village, opening November 25, 2020 from Chris Columbus with Goldie Hawn as Mrs Claus.
Both films share the Pierce family, the elves and the Santa song without long recaps. Russell said in May 2026 he doubts Netflix will order a third due to viewing math. Watch in release order, since the sequel reuses the sleigh rules and the Hawn reveal from part one.
Good to know
Release order is story order, with part two set two years after the crash. Do not start with part two, since it assumes you know the Teddy arrest and the Kate North Pole trip. Each runs around 100 minutes as family adventure, not hard canon. Treat the duology as dormant complete, with no third dated and the kids now grown.
