About Cinderella
Cinderella began with Disney's 1950 animated film about the stepsisters' scorn and the midnight ball. The 1997 TV musical stars Brandy with Whitney Houston's Fairy Godmother around a diverse kingdom. The 2015 Branagh version with Lily James grounds the tale, and the 2021 Amazon musical with Camila Cabello reworks it as a pop-feminist fable.
Sequels Cinderella II (2002) and Twist in Time (2007) extend the animated run with Jaq and Gus. Each live version resets the kingdom with no shared timeline, so every telling starts clean for its generation.
