About Daddy Day Care
Daddy Day Care opened May 9, 2003 with Eddie Murphy as Charlie starting daycare after layoff with Jeff Garlin. It runs 92 minutes with Anjelica Huston rival. Daddy Day Camp arrived August 2007 straight to video with Cuba Gooding Jr as Charlie taking camp with kids.
Stories share daycare brand with new lead, so either works first, but release order shows dad comedy shift. No third film has been announced, so these two are complete with PG ratings. Both run about 90 minutes with kid chaos and dad lessons.
Good to know
Watch the 2003 original first for Murphy daycare origin, then 2007 camp for Gooding takeover. The original carries theater scale with Garlin duo, the sequel is video budget with camp games. Expect kid pranks and parent lessons each time. Both suit ages 6 plus with mild rude humor. All stream on family platforms.
