About Death Race
Death Race 2000 from April 1975 sends drivers across America for points. The 2008 remake moves the race inside a prison with Jensen Ames as Frankenstein. Part 2 in 2010 and Inferno in 2013 act as prequels to 2008 showing Carl Lucas becoming Frankenstein.
2050 in January 2017 continues the 1975 original instead, ignoring the remake. Beyond Anarchy in October 2018 continues the remake line after 2008. No film has released since 2018 as of September 2026. Watch in release order to see each branch where it landed.
Good to know
Original branch runs 1975 into 2050, while remake branch runs part 2 into Inferno into 2008 into Beyond Anarchy. Release order mixes the branches but avoids spoiling the Frankenstein reveal. Story order would group branches but break reveals. The list ends with Beyond Anarchy in 2018 for now. Start with the 1975 original.
