About Descendants
Descendants follows the kids of Disney villains attending Auradon Prep. The first TV movie arrived July 2015, with the animated shorts series Wicked World running 33 episodes from September 2015 to March 2017 between parts 1 and 2. Parts 2 and 3 followed in July 2017 and August 2019.
The Royal Wedding animated special in August 2021 closes the original cast run. Rise of Red in July 2024 starts a new cast with Red and Chloe traveling to the past, and Wicked Wonderland in July 2026 continues them directly. Hidden Heroes spin-off was greenlit August 2026 for 2027.
Good to know
Watch in release order and place Wicked World between parts 1 and 2 where it aired. Rise of Red middle act visits the teen past but frames as a present sequel, so do not move it earlier. Wicked Wonderland goes last as the direct follow-up. Hidden Heroes has no date beyond 2027, so it sits outside the list until it releases.
