Neil Marshall's The Descent (2005) traps six friends in an unmapped cave with something living in the dark.
The Descent Part 2 (2009) drags survivor Sarah Carter back underground two days later, so release order is story order.
Good to know
A third film has been discussed for years, but nothing is confirmed, so the two films stand complete. The US cut of the first film trims the ending, so prefer the UK cut before watching Part 2.
