About Dollars Trilogy
The Dollars Trilogy launched the spaghetti western with Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood. A Fistful of Dollars from 1964 pits Joe between rival families, For a Few Dollars More from 1965 pairs bounty hunters Manco and Mortimer, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly from 1966 runs 178 minutes around buried Civil War gold. Ennio Morricone scored all three.
Eastwood's character differs by name in each film, so the trilogy plays as thematic rather than serialized. Release order matches the growing scale from town feud to Civil War epic. The third film is a prequel of sorts set earlier, but release order remains the standard path.
