About Frozen
Frozen starts with two sisters in Arendelle, Elsa hiding ice powers she cannot control and Anna pushing to reconnect after their parents die. The first film ends with the kingdom thawed and the sisters reconciled, and everything after it builds straight on that ending, so newcomers should simply start at the beginning and move forward.
The shorts fill small gaps between the films. Frozen Fever and Olaf's Frozen Adventure take place after the first movie, and Once Upon a Snowman rewinds to show what Olaf did during it. Frozen 2 jumps three years ahead and answers where Elsa's powers came from.
Good to know
Release order and story order are the same list, with one small exception worth knowing. Once Upon a Snowman is set during the first film and can be watched right after it, though it was released in 2020. Olaf Presents is an optional recap series where Olaf retells Disney stories, so skip it if you only want the main plot. Frozen 3 is dated November 24, 2027.
