About Hera Pheri
Hera Pheri follows tenants Raju and Shyam with landlord Baburao through a wrong number ransom scheme in 2000. The Priyadarshan original with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal became a cult classic. Phir Hera Pheri from June 2006 continues the debt chaos under Neeraj Vora and grossed about 69 crore.
Hera Pheri 3 has cycled directors and casts since 2015 with legal disputes over rights. Akshay Kumar said in April 2026 it is not happening anytime soon. Watch the two released films in order, since the sequel assumes the trio's poverty logic.
Good to know
Watch the 2000 film before the 2006 sequel, since the trio's money schemes compound directly year to year. Both films run over two hours with the same three leads throughout. The ransom logic of the first feeds the debt logic of the second. Hera Pheri 3 stays yearless amid rights disputes, so the 2006 sequel is the current endpoint until cameras roll.
