About Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids began in 1989 with inventor Wayne Szalinski, played by Rick Moranis, shrinking his kids to grass height. Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992) grows the baby to Vegas size, and Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997) shrinks the parents for a video finale. The TV series ran three seasons from 1997 with Peter Scolari as Wayne.
Shrunk, a legacy sequel with Josh Gad, has been in development for years with Moranis courted to return and no cameras rolled. The series shares the shrink tech in its own episodes, sitting apart as a weekly take rather than a continuation.
