About Johnny Tsunami
Johnny Tsunami premiered July 1999 on Disney Channel with young surfer Johnny moving from Hawaii to Vermont for snowboarding. Back on Board in June 2007 brings Johnny Kapahala back to Hawaii for a surf wedding and shop fight.
Jumping Ship from 2001 shares no cast or story despite surf posters, so it sits outside this list. No third Johnny film has been made and the story ends with the family shop safe. Watch 1999 then 2007. Part 2 assumes you know the Tsunami to Kapahala name change from Vermont years.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order. Part 2 picks up years after part 1 with the same Johnny, so release order is the only list. Jumping Ship is a Lawrence brothers pirate tale, not a Johnny story, so do not slot it between. No sequel has been announced as of September 2026, so 2007 is the endpoint.
