About Justin Kurzel
Justin Kurzel debuted with Snowtown in 2011 about the Australian murders. Macbeth followed in 2015 with Fassbender and Cotillard, then Assassins Creed in 2016 as his game adaptation. True History of the Kelly Gang arrived in 2019 as a punk Ned Kelly tale.
Nitram came in 2021 with Caleb Landry Jones as the Port Arthur shooter lead up, winning at Cannes, and The Order in 2024 followed an FBI hunt for a white supremacist cell. The films share a harsh natural light but no plot, so release order is enough.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each film resets its cast and era. Snowtown and Nitram pair as his true crime bookends. Macbeth and Kelly Gang suit period fans while Creed is the franchise outlier here. Nitram needs a steady head as its lead up is grim. No next feature has a date yet, so the 2024 FBI film stays last until one is announced.
