About Maddock Horror Comedy Universe
The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is Dinesh Vijan's folklore franchise built around Chanderi and its spirits. Stree from August 31, 2018 sets the rules with Vicky and the female spirit. Roohi from 2021 is a loose side entry. Bhediya from November 25, 2022 adds Varun Dhawan's wolf in Arunachal with cameo links.
Munjya from June 7, 2024 and Stree 2 from August 15, 2024 tighten the crossovers, with Bhediya characters appearing in both. Thamma from October 21, 2025 adds vampires with Ayushmann Khurrana. Dated next are Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Stree 3 in 2027 and two Mahayudh team ups in 2028.
Good to know
Release order matches story order for the films that matter, so start with Stree and move forward. Roohi is the one entry fans routinely place last or skip, since its links are thin. Stree 2 pays off Bhediya and Munjya cameos, so watch those two before it. The slate through 2028 is dated but shifting, so treat Stree 3 onward as placeholders until cameras roll.
