About Marjane Satrapi
Marjane Satrapi co-directed Persepolis in 2007, animating her Iranian childhood memoir with Vincent Paronnaud. Chicken with Plums followed in 2011 as a live action fable about a musician who loses his violin. The Voices arrived in 2014 with Ryan Reynolds hearing his pets plot murder.
Radioactive came in 2019 with Rosamund Pike as Marie Curie across decades of discovery and fallout. The films share outsiders and dark humor but no plot links. Persepolis suits animation nights while the rest play as live action turns.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each film resets its world. Persepolis first gives the memoir base for her later tone and jokes. Chicken with Plums and Radioactive pair as period pieces from different ends. The Voices breaks the run as horror comedy. No next feature has a date yet, so the 2019 Curie film stays last until one is announced.
