About Meet the Parents
Meet the Parents follows Greg Focker, played by Ben Stiller, surviving his future father-in-law Jack Byrnes, played by Robert De Niro. The first film (2000) covers the disastrous home visit. Meet the Fockers (2004) flips to Greg's parents with Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. Little Fockers (2010) adds twins and a remarriage plot.
Universal dated a fourth film, Focker In-Law, for November 25, 2026 with De Niro, Stiller and Owen Wilson returning and Ariana Grande joining. It would be the first new entry in sixteen years, continuing the family rather than rebooting it.
Good to know
Watch one through three in release order, since the polygraph gags, the Focker family lore and the twins all carry forward. The fourth film slots at the end once released, with its premise assuming the Little Fockers status quo. No TV version or spinoff exists, so the three films plus the incoming sequel are the whole run.
