Mohit Suri started in the Vishesh Films circle with Kalyug (2005), Awarapan (2007), Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009), Crook (2010) and Murder 2 (2011), mixing crime stories with strong soundtracks. The run from Aashiqui 2 (2013) through Ek Villain (2014), Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015) and Half Girlfriend (2017) made him known for romantic dramas where the songs carry as much weight as the plot.
