About Neeraj Pandey
Pandey debuted as director with A Wednesday (2008), starring Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher in a one-evening standoff praised by critics. Special 26 (2013), starring Akshay Kumar, dramatizes the 1987 Opera House heist in which fake CBI officers staged raids. Baby (2015) follows a counterterrorism unit led by Kumar and later spun off the prequel Naam Shabana (2017), which Pandey wrote but did not direct.
M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), starring Sushant Singh Rajput, traces the cricketer from Ranchi ticket collector to World Cup-winning captain. Aiyaary (2018), starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, centers on an army officer chasing a rogue protege. His Special Ops (2020) and Khakee series are streaming projects outside this film list.
Good to know
Each film stands alone with its own characters and case, so release order is the full order and there is no separate chronological list worth maintaining. Baby and Naam Shabana share a universe, but Naam Shabana was directed by Shivam Nair, so this list keeps only Baby. Treat Special Ops (2020) and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter (2022) as separate streaming continuity, not part of this theatrical sequence.
