About Nida Manzoor
Nida Manzoor directs punk Muslim joy across film and TV. We Are Lady Parts ran six episodes in 2021 and six more in 2024 on Channel 4 and Peacock, following an all women band through gigs and faith with her as creator writer director. Polite Society from April 2023 pits a teen martial artist against her sister's wedding.
Her Doctor Who pair from January 2020 sits inside the BBC run as franchise work. The Hounslow pilot and Enterprice episodes stay grouped out. An alt Bond spy film is in writing with no title, and Lady Parts season 3 is uncommissioned. Watch the series before the film for her comic grammar.
Good to know
Release order is the suggested path across series and film. Lady Parts season 2 assumes the band lineup from season 1. The Doctor Who episodes slot anywhere as franchise assignments. Polite Society stands alone as the feature proof. The spy film is only in writing and season 3 uncommissioned, so both stay out of the list until confirmed.
