Adam McKay directed Anchorman in 2004, Talladega Nights in 2006, Step Brothers in 2008 and The Other Guys in 2010, the Ferrell era comedies. Will Ferrell stars across the first four with John C. Reilly joining for the race and step runs.
Anchorman 2 arrived in 2013, The Big Short in 2015, Vice in 2018 and Don't Look Up in 2021. Watch in release order. The run splits cleanly between the joke dense comedies and the issue driven satires that followed. McKay shoots the finance and politics turns with cutaway gags explaining the systems. Carell, Bale and Lawrence carry the later ensembles.

There is no shared continuity, so no chronological order exists. Anchorman, Step Brothers, The Big Short, Vice and Don't Look Up make the clearest core.
