Barbershop follows Calvin Palmer running his father shop on the South Side with Eddie, Terri and Jimmy trading cuts and debates. The 2002 original sets the shop rules and the sale threat across one long day with strong ensemble talk.
Back in Business from 2004 fights a rival chain across the street, Beauty Shop from 2005 spins Gina to Atlanta with new chairs, and Next Cut from 2016 reunites Calvin and Eddie against gang pressure. Each film keeps the shop talk central while the neighborhood shifts around it.
