About Roar
Roar tells eight feminist fables with a new lead each hour, including Issa Rae, Nicole Kidman, Betty Gilpin, Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Meera Syal and Fivel Stewart. All eight episodes, each 29 to 37 minutes, were released April 15, 2022. The series adapts Ahern 2018 collection of short stories.
There is no shared plot between hours. The Woman Who Disappeared opens the run and The Girl Who Loved Horses closes it. Apple ordered eight half hour episodes and has not ordered a second season, so the eight form a closed set.
Good to know
Any order works because the stories do not connect, but release order is the simplest path. Start with episode 1 for the photo wall story, continue through the shelf and bite mark hours, then finish with episodes 7 and 8. No film or special follows. Each hour runs under 40 minutes, so the full run is about four hours.
