About Pacific Rim
Guillermo del Toro's 2013 original pits human-piloted Jaegers against kaiju rising from the Pacific, and Pacific Rim Uprising (2018) continues the fight ten years later with a new generation of pilots.
The Netflix animated series The Black (2021 to 2022) follows two siblings crossing kaiju-held Australia, so release order matches story order throughout.
Good to know
The Black ended with its second season in April 2022. A live-action prequel series from Eric Heisserer is in development at Prime Video, but no release date has been announced.
