Jackie Chan plays Inspector Chan Ka-Kui across the original run, which pairs him with Michelle Yeoh in Supercop and closes his arc with First Strike in 1996.
New Police Story (2004) and Police Story 2013 reboot the character with new continuities, so they can be watched on their own.
Good to know
Supercop 2 (1993) is a Michelle Yeoh spinoff where Chan appears only briefly, and several US releases were retitled, with part 3 released as Supercop and part 4 as Jackie Chan's First Strike. New Police Story 2 was announced in March 2023 with Nicholas Tse set to direct, but it has no release date yet.
