About Problem Child
Problem Child arrived July 1990 with Ben Healy adopting Junior mayhem. Part 2 in July 1991 continues theatrically with the same cast and bigger school pranks. Junior in Love in May 1995 moves to TV on NBC with William Katt and Justin Chapman recast.
The animated series from 1993 to 1994 retells Junior separately. A 2015 NBC pilot was reported but never ordered. No new film has been made as of September 2026. Watch parts 1 through 3 in order. Part 3 assumes you know Junior trouble style from the first two films.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order. All three films follow Junior growing up in order, so release order is the only list. The 1995 recast changes faces but not story. The cartoon sits outside the films. The trilogy ends closed in 1995 with no revival dated as of September 2026. Start at part 1.
