About Shrek
Shrek follows a grumpy ogre who rescues a princess, marries her, and keeps getting dragged out of his swamp for sequels about fatherhood and midlife crisis. Four films ran from 2001 to 2010, and the Puss in Boots spinoffs gave the breakout cat his own duology.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) was a critical hit that revived the franchise. Shrek 5 is officially dated June 30, 2027, with Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz returning alongside Zendaya as Shrek's daughter.
