About Smetto quando voglio
Smetto quando voglio follows broke researcher Pietro Zinni, who assembles a crew of unemployed academics to cook a legal high smart drug and fund real science. The 2014 original covers the gang forming, the first lab and the police closing in on the Camorra fringes. Sharp writing turns precarious academic life into heist comedy with genuine stakes.
The 2017 Masterclass sequel forces the jailed crew into a police job hunting rival chemists, while Ad honorem the same year ends the run with a prison break and final score. Three films from 2014 to 2017 make it Italy smartest crime comedy run. Watch the films in release order, since the crew and police deals carry over fully.
Good to know
Watch the three films in release order, since the police deal and rival chemist plot only make sense in sequence. The academic in jokes build across entries as the crew specialties get tested. No fourth film has released, so the trilogy is the complete run. The two 2017 entries were shot back to back and play as one long finale. The 2017 close resolves the crew fate cleanly.
