About Stomp the Yard
Stomp the Yard from 2007 follows DJ Williams joining Theta Nu Theta step crew at Truth University with Columbus Short and Meagan Good, built around national step competitions. Stomp the Yard: Homecoming from 2010 follows Chance Harris in a new crew rivalry with Collins Pennie and Terrence J.
Both center stepping clashes and school pride with new casts. No third film has been announced. The two share the step world rather than characters, so each works alone once you know the battle format. The Truth University setting returns with new faces.
Good to know
Release order keeps the battle format growth clear from 2007 to 2010. Homecoming assumes you know step calls and judging, so the original teaches that fast. Expect new leads with coach cameos rather than direct continuation. With no sequel dated, the 2010 entry closes the yard at two. Start with the 2007 original for the calls.
