Tanu Weds Manu is Aanand Rai's small town romance about London doctor Manu falling for free spirit Tanu. Tanu Weds Manu from February 2011 ends on their wedding with Raja trailing. Tanu Weds Manu Returns from May 2015 splits them in London and adds Datto, Tanu's lookalike athlete, with Manu torn between the two.
Kangana Ranaut plays both Tanu and Datto in part two with Madhavan returning. The Raja rivalry and family wedding rules carry straight over. The double role only lands if you saw the first marriage.
