About Tekken
Tekken on screen retells the Mishima feud in every outing. The 2009 live-action film runs a tournament plot with its own continuity, the CGI Blood Vengeance (2011) slots between the games' fifth and sixth entries, and Kazuya's Revenge (2014) works as a prequel. Netflix's Bloodline (2022) adapts Tekken 3's Jin story across six episodes.
Each version stands alone, so watch by interest: Bloodline for the games' plot, Blood Vengeance for the CGI spectacle, the live-action pair for curiosity. Release order shows the adaptations improving as they get closer to the source. The games themselves are the only real homework, and even that is optional.

Blood Vengeance is canon-adjacent to the games, set between Tekken 5 and 6, which makes it the one film game fans should not skip.
