About The Eye
The Eye follows blind violinist Mun gaining sight through a cornea transplant and seeing ghosts of the dead. The Pang brothers original opened in 2002 with Angelica Lee, spawning a cult run. Eye 2 followed in March 2004 as a standalone pregnancy haunting with Shu Qi, and Eye 10 arrived in 2005 as an anthology youth trip.
The American remake opened February 2008 with Jessica Alba as Sydney Wells, keeping the transplant hook in Albuquerque and Mexico. India also retold the story as Naina in 2005, but the core set remains the three Pang entries plus the US version.
Good to know
Watch The Eye 2002 first for new viewers, then Eye 2 and Eye 10 as standalone sequels sharing rules but not cast. The 2008 remake can follow any time after the original as an alternate start in the US. Child Eye from 2010 continues the Pang line as an extra for completists rather than a required step.
