About Tomie
Tomie follows Kawakami Tomie, a girl who drives admirers to madness and returns after every death. The run starts with Tomie in 1998, Another Face in 1999, Replay in 2000 and Rebirth in 2001.
Forbidden Fruit arrived in 2002, Beginning and Revenge in 2005, Tomie vs Tomie in 2007 and Unlimited in 2011. The films adapt Junji Ito manga chapters with different casts and no shared plot beyond Tomie herself. Watch in release order, since the effects and tone shift from video era horror to late 2000s gloss.
Good to know
These are standalone stories with no shared continuity, so there is no chronological order to untangle. Each film recasts Tomie and resets her origin, which is why the kills repeat with small changes. The anime Junji Ito collections adapt Tomie chapters separately and sit outside this live action list. Start with Rebirth or Unlimited if nine films feels like too many.
