About Alias
Alias follows Sydney Bristow learning SD-6 is criminal and joining the real CIA on ABC. Seasons 1 and 2 from 2001 to 2003 run 22 episodes each around the Alliance collapse and Irina's return. Season 3 from 2003 jumps two missing years into the Covenant, season 4 from 2005 runs shorter, and season 5 from 2005 closes Prophet Five to May 2006.
J.J. Abrams created the run with Jennifer Garner and Victor Garber. The Rambaldi device mystery threads all five years. Every finale reframes loyalties, so the twists only work straight through in broadcast order.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 5 in order, since double crosses and family reveals stack directly year to year. The show is TV-14 spy thriller with sci-fi prophecy edges throughout. Vaughn, Sloane and Irina flip sides repeatedly across seasons. The May 2006 finale closed Sydney's story, and no revival has aired.
