About Arya
Aarya (spelled Aarya on screen) is a Hindi crime drama on Disney+ Hotstar co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi, adapted from the Dutch series Penoza. Sushmita Sen plays Aarya Sareen, who takes over her family's Rajasthan opium business after her husband's murder to shield her children, trading domestic life for cartel politics.
Season one (nine episodes, June 19, 2020) marked Sen's comeback, season two (eight episodes, December 10, 2021) widened the gang war, and season three (eight episodes split across November 3, 2023 and February 9, 2024) closed her story. The finale was billed as the end, and no fourth season has been announced.
