About Atlantis
Atlantis follows Jason washing up in the mythic city with Hercules and Pythagoras. Series 1 ran 13 episodes from September 28 to December 28, 2013 on BBC One, ending with the Earth Bull arc. Series 2 was ordered October 2013 and split into two blocks, 6 episodes from November 15 to December 20, 2014 and 6 more from April 11 to May 16, 2015.
The BBC cancelled the show January 23, 2015 during that split, so the May finale is abrupt. Filmed in Wales and Morocco by Urban Myth, it was built to replace Merlin. No revival has been ordered.
Good to know
Broadcast order is story order, and the Series 2 split confuses lists that date it only 2014. Watch the 2014 block before the 2015 block, since Ariadne's queenship carries across. The show ends on a cliffhanger because of the cancellation, which is worth knowing before starting. With no third series, the 2015 finale remains the stop.
