About Beetleborgs
Big Bad Beetleborgs follows three comic-obsessed kids granted armor powers by a haunted-house ghost, fighting monsters their comics predicted. The Saban series ran 53 episodes from September 1996, adapting Japan's Metal Heroes footage.
The second year rebranded as Beetleborgs Metallix for 35 episodes from 1997 with new powers and villains, closing in 1998. Watch the 1996 run first, then Metallix. Powers, villains and the kids' ages all reset between the two years, which only ever reads in sequence.
Good to know
Air order is story order across 88 episodes. The Metallix rebrand upgrades everything from season one, so starting there spoils the original team's whole arc. Like its Saban siblings the show reuses Japanese action footage around American school plots. The run is complete with no revival announced yet.
