About Big Sky
Big Sky runs Montana crime through Cassie Dewell's agency across three ABC seasons. Season 1 ran 16 episodes November 2020 to May 2021 around the trucker kidnappings, season 2 ran 18 September 2021 to May 2022 with the Bhullar syndicate, and season 3 subtitled Deadly Trails ran 13 September 2022 to January 2023.
ABC cancelled it in May 2023 after 47 episodes. The C.J. Box novels sit behind it as background. Watch the three seasons straight since the agency roster and the syndicate arcs across the whole run.
Good to know
Release order is the story order. The kidnapping cases reset per arc, but the Dewell agency bonds and the syndicate fallout stack across all three seasons. The novels continue past the show for readers. The show is cancelled with no revival announced, leaving the January 2023 finale as the close. The syndicate fallout only lands with all three seasons behind it.
